Eurovision - Ciao!
Our Eurovision topic has sadly come to an end! But what an end! We finished by tasting authentic Italian food such as gnocchi, pesto, mascarpone and olives then made our very own pizzas using only Italian ingredients! We have thoroughly enjoyed this topic and learning all about Italy. We've got a week on the French painter Monet then a Science Week all about animals. Can't wait to see what fantastic work we create next...
Last week in our literacy lessons we looked at performance poetry. We absolutely LOVED Michael Rosen's Chocolate Cake poem - he is extremely funny! Kit Wright wrote a poem all about a Magic Box and all the different things he would collect and put in it. Instead of a Big Write, we did a Big Performance, which Miss Lock videoed. We all wrote our own verse based on 'The Magic Box' and put the verses together to make our own version. Watch the videos to see how we did. Do you think we performed well? Did we make eye contact? Can you see our faces? Are we speaking clearly? Class 6 would also like you to think about what YOU would like to keep in a Magic Box of your own!
Welcome to Class 6.
Today we have been working on your gymnastics skills. After learning about the basic skills last half term, we are now using them to build up movements and sequences on different pieces of apparatus.
This half timer we've enjoyed dressing up! We loved World Book Day, especially when we read with children from Class 3. They are superb readers and we loved the challenge of 'being teacher' and asking questions! Make your Face Funny for Money was brilliant too. Our efforts were the best Miss Lock has ever seen! Class 6 also managed to raise a whooping £46.50 so thank you for all your generous contributions!
