Eco Council Archive 2014 - 2015

The Eco Council ran the assembly on Monday 26th January and launched all the recycling projects they are running throughout the school year.

Recycling

Empties Please - Ink and toner cartridges (HP, Lexmark, Dell and Canon)

Forgotten Mobiles - old and unwanted mobile phones

Ziffit - CD's, DVD's, Games (playstation, Xbox, computer games etc.) and Books

Bags2school - Clothing, paired shoes, hats, belts, handbags, ties and soft toys - Next collection is Tuesday 12th May

Unwanted quality gifts - unused toiletries, games, jigsaws, toys, household goods - we can sell these at our Summer Fayre

All proceeds raised will be used to make our school and school grounds a more Eco friendly environment by planting seeds, shrubs, bulbs and plants, providing bird boxes to encourage wildlife and resources to help teach our children to be more green and save our planet

Picture a Greener Future - a copy of this book has now been given to every child in school to inform families how we can best save energy and save our planet. These books have been provided by the Worcester Bosch Group courtesy of Mr. Wallis. We hope you will take time to read this with your child and help them with some of the activities within the book too.

Many thanks to Mr Wallis and Worcester Bosch for providing us with these books.

Bags2school

Bags have been given out to children on Friday 1st May and we would like to ask people to clear out their wardrobes and cupboards and fill up the bags. You can use black sacks as well as the bag sent home from school. These need to be brought into school on Tuesday 12th May by 9am. The more we collect, the more money we raise for the Eco Council. This will enable the children to buy plants and shrubs to make our school environment a colourful place, encouraging the children to take pride in our wonderful outdoor areas.

Please support as much as you can.

Thank you
