Over this half term we have been learning all about Winter. We created our own igloo's and learned all about animals from cold countries and Inuit people.
Then over the last two weeks we have been learning all about the Chinese New Year. We read and acted out the Great Race story, we prepared and tasted Chinese food and we made our own Chinese lanterns.

This half term our theme is all about celebrations including Diwali. We will be making diva lamps, creating Mendhi and Rangoli patterns and trying out Indian food.
We will then be exploring stories by the Author Julia Donaldson including The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo's Child and Stick Man.
Later this half term we will be exploring the celebration of Christmas.
Our Nursery performance of 'A Wriggly Nativity' will take place at 10.30 am on Friday 7th December. The children are really looking forward to this and have been busy starting their rehearsals this week.
Welcome back to Nursery!
This week we have been busy settling back in and welcoming our new starters.
This half term our theme will be Marvellous Me!
Throughout this half term we will be learning all about families, friendships, growing up and keeping healthy.
We will be reading lots of stories, creating self portraits, colour mixing and making models of our houses as well as engaging in lots of role play in our home corner and singing songs and rhymes.
We will be listening for sounds within the environment in phonics and will be going on shape hunts in our outdoor environment as well as exploring number through dance in digit dance!
