"Random Acts of Kindness" week - 9th to 13th February 2015
The Student Council ran the Assembly on Monday morning and informed all pupils about this national week. Please feel free to look at their website at www.randomactsofkindness.org
Coffee Morning
During this week the Student Council will be baking and running a Coffee Morning for all parents, family members and the community on Wednesday 11th February at 9am in the School Hall. Please support the event if you are able. It will be £1 for a drink and a cake. All proceeds will be used to buy plants and shrubs for our planters around school.
Competition
An opportunity for all children to take part during this special week is to write a poem or piece of writing about a person of their choice with the title "What I like about you". This must be handed in by Friday morning to Christine and these will be displayed for all to read.
A kind word and a smile can change someone's entire day so don't just think it - SAY IT!
A Smile
The thing that goes the furthest
Toward making life worthwhile
That costs the least and does the most
Is just a pleasant smile
Student Council take part in the interviewing process
Our Student Council have recently taken part in the interviewing process of appointing a new EYFS Leader. The pupils put together 13 questions that they asked each candidate. The pupils were so professional in their approach, listening intently and taking notes, then discussed their opinions and thoughts about the answers given together as a group.
We were so proud of the pupils in the way they presented themselves, making sure each candidate were aware how important the pupil voice is within our school.
Each candidate complimented the group of children at the end of the session and could see how proud they were representing the school and taking part in this important process.
Pupil Questionnaires
All students within school have had the opportunity to fill in a questionnaire individually, then discussed things in more depth as a class.
These have been analysed and put into a report. The Student and Eco Council will be presenting this to the School Governing Body on Friday 15th May during an informal session.
