Extra Time: Our before and after school care

Welcom back after the christmas break

Welcome back. We are looking at working with children development through arts and crafts this half term. We will continue to play outside after snack in an afternoon, until its too dark to see the children, then we will come back inside and do some free play, with a supervised table with arts and crafts as well as all of the other resources.

Our menu isnt going to be sent out this half term, as we have already found issues purchasing foods for the first week back, we can say there will be a snack available to all children, however, we cant specify what we are having each day.

We are now taking booking for february half term, and need to know our parents childcare needs by 20th January 2022 please, so we can then let you all know if we are able to cover our overheads (21st January)

Please ring us on 07912303444 or email us -, find us on facebook or Twitter

During the Government guidance for wrap around care through out the covid-19 pandemic

We are open

Our numbers are looking okay, we have a few vacancies, so if you need childcare, please give us a call at your earliest convenience, as we offer a first come first served basis.

We are working in one room, keeping up with all of our covid procedures in place, cleaning, self hygiene, no parents in the club at the moment, staff wearing face coverings in communal areas. Everyone sanitising and washing hands before and after each activity undertaken.  Trying to keep your children and our team as safe as we possibly can.

Extra Time - is a privately owned and run Breakfast and afterschool club as well as a holiday club, which runs within the community room of Darton Primary School.

(these are are normal working hours, but through out the pandemic, these may change due to staffing issues, or government guidance)

We are open and offer childcare to Darton Primary school children during term time - 7.30am-9am then 3-6pm every Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)

We also offer care to the wider community children and families -  during school holiday - 8-530pm (including INSET days) if we have enough parental need. We will have to finish at 3pm every friday, due to deep cleaning of the setting.

We offer a supervised  play environment to children within our care, where we let them play freely and decide what they want to do, we do offer specific activities of which they can choose not to do if they don't want to.  we plan activities that challenge children's learning through play.

All of the staff have first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding training.

Our philosophy is to work with every family within the community, to ensure we are accessible to all children and families, so they can go to work or just let their child come and play, to encourage independence.
