During the Government guidance for wrap around care
We have had to close our doors for a second time, during lockdown. This was because I didn't have enough Key children needing our care from 5th January 2021. Our only source of income is that of the fees paid to us for childcare. I couldn't have stayed open, as the income I would have received wouldn't have covered my overheads, and the business would of then had to close for ever, this way, my staff are furloughed, and ready and waiting to come back to work, as and when the government deem it safe to do so.
stay safe, stay indoors.
Extra Time - is a privately owned and run Breakfast and afterschool club as well as a holiday club, which runs within the community room of Darton Primary School.
We are open and offer childcare to Darton Primary school children during term time - 7.30am-9am then 3-6pm every Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)
We are offer care to the wider community children and families - during school holiday - 8-530pm (including INSET days) if we have enough parental need.
We offer a supervised play environment to children within our care, where we let them play freely and decide what they want to do, we do offer specific activities of which they can choose not to do if they don't want to. we plan activities that challenge children's learning through play.
All of the staff have first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding training.
Our philosophy is to work with every family within the community, to ensure we are accessible to all children and families, so they can go to work or just let their child come and play, to encourage independence.
