21st May 2020 - Policy Amendments During Covid-19
There have been significant changes within our school in response to the outbreak of COVID-19. While the majority of our children remain at home, schools are commencing a phased return of pupils. The Department for Education has administered guidance for schools to follow to ensure the safety of pupils, families and staff at this time.
In light of this, the following policy changes have been implemented to our educational policies.
No homework, including spellings or home reading books, will be issued during this time.
School uniform will be required to be worn, however we acknowledge that in a case by case basis some pupils may not be able to meet all requirements of the school uniform policy.
Collective Worship will take place daily for each separate group of pupils. Pupils will remain within their group or ‘bubble’ and not come together at this time as a school for Collective Worship.
In order to maintain social distancing and to comply with health and safety guidelines, marking will be based around live marking and verbal feedback. There will remain opportunities for pupil self-assessment and self-marking within lessons.
