SEN: New Arrangements

NEW ARRANGEMENTS FOR SUPPORTING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES

On 1st September 2014, the Children and Families Act 2014 introduced a new framework for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) representing the biggest shift in SEN for 30 years

All Local Authorities are required to publish information on ‘the Local Offer’ about all SEND services, along with details of any eligibility for specialist services and a signpost to support for those who do not meet thresholds.

Our SENdCO is: Mrs Rebecca Walker

Support during the Corona Virus Pandemic

Please find below some documents that you may find useful whilst we are not operating as normal during the COVID-19 epidemic.  Please also look on the 'Home Learning' tab under the 'Health and Well-being' section for more social stories and resources to help your child understand what is happening in the world.  There are also some useful resources to help them deal with anger and anxiety.

If you need to contact me, please either send me an email to r.walker@smat.org.uk or ring the school office 01226 394050.
